Has anyone tried them out. I see evike and my local airsoft field/store sells them for $80. Should I get one? I've been wanting a clone for a while.

What model are you looking for? $80 is a little pricey, but it depends on the model.

Have you used a real EoTech?  Many of us find the reticule too busy and it's cumbersome to change the brightness settings.  I have a 553 but prefer a 2 MOA Aimpoint dot.  I doubt battery life will be an issue with a clone (they all eat batteries), but the real EoTechs are battery hogs compared to the Aimpoint CompM-series (M68 COO).

have a Eotech hws on my AR. My mom's boyfriend was allowed to keep his when he left the seals. I'm fine with eotechs. Any input on the G&P clone?

I've talked to him, he has them, but they have the bullet drop reticule, which I don't want.

it's a hit and miss.  What bugs me the most are the ghosting on them.  Some ACM are really really horrible.

That's part of the reason I don't want to order from him. He says quality over company, but I know he carries acm. That's why I want the g&p.

I own one, It's alright I like my Ncstar Micro VISM more though.
-The battery life is pretty bad and you need to take the batteries out when storing it or it will consume.
-The worse part about it is that the battery compartment is flimsy and fell out a few times during games when running because it doesnt lock well. Then i had to find the button cell batteries while getting shot at, This happened Twice.
-Also in certain light you can see the LEDs welded on a metal pad when off.
-Batteries are expensive.

No.  I don't doubt he told you he was a SEAL and told you he was allowed to keep the sight.

Yes, I (strongly) doubt he was a SEAL and government property is accountable and not given away.  :)

Moving on... I had a ACM eotech "red dot" sight, not holographic because of course it wasn't a hologram, just a red dot. It was about 60 bucks, and the worst clone I've ever used. The dot never stayed zero, (both on my LM4 and KM4) and could never be adjusted. I've had bad experiences with ACM eotech clones so I just prefer to stay away from them, even though I love the look of the EoTech.

I have seem his class certificates. And yes, they let them keep the sights so they all get new ones... and only if I could show you the pick with it on his ar. And no, the ar-15 is his
