Hello,

Finally got an MKII but need to move the rear sight. There looks to be a set screw in the top of the sight but seems to be an oddball size. On the real thing with fixed sights, you just drive it over with a nylon or brass punch. Looked at the diagram and it doesn't show any set screws.

How do you move the rear sight or even remove it? Don't want to damage anything.

Thanks!!

Oddball size?  ;)  Try a 1/16" Allen.  At least that fits my Mark I.

On my real pistols I use a sight pusher, but the bulk of mine have tritium sights and I don't want to bash the vials.

The rear sight can not be adjusted on the MK2. The screw on the sight is just for looks.

Thanks.
The sight is listed in the diagram parts list so it must be removable.

What if I want to replace the sight with a dovetail adjustable ? Can't I remove the KWA?

Sorry for all the posts. It won't allow me to edit my post, gives me an error. Tried 3 pc's along with IE7 & 8 & Firefox.

Anyway, is the rear sight held in from underneath with the #92 Breech Screw?

Thanks

Yes, that screw holds in the rear sight.

gcw360: Yes, that screw holds in the rear sight.

Thanks. That messes me up though. I can't adjust the rear sight. Can't install an adjustable rear sight. If I install a rail scope mount, can't get the slide off for cleaning as the rear sight hits the mount.

I'd actually really like to mount the red dot but if I can't get the slide off without removing the mount every time, that's a problem. Any ideas? I'm sure others have done this.

Thanks

Good to know!

The 1/16" Allen wrench fits in  my Mark I sight screw -- but I never tried turning it!  :)
