The M1911 US ARMY has been released overseas at ehobbyasia (http://shop.ehobbyas...full-metal-gbb/). This is probably some sort of asian model but still, they're being made and its not too long until we get them in the US.

That is the old generation asian model with updated markings, the magazines is not compatible with the MK series.  The New 1911A! US ARMY version will fit MK series magazines and vise versa.

The magazine sure "looks" like the mags for my Mark I other than having a steel floor plate rather than the dorky Mark floor plate.

I wonder if these floor plates are available and fit on my Mark I magazines?

@Ben, the give away that this the older generation is the image of the box.  It is the old style box that we do not produce anymore.

I didn't even consider the box. I care about the gun. I just thought that ehobby put up a wrong pic or this was a pre-production without a retail box so they used an old style. I don't know how to explain how the mags are different in words. Lookin at the top, right by the release valve there are slight differences. Go back and forth for a while, you'll see. The rest of the mag looks the same but you can't tell dimensions from a picture like that so I'll assume that since little parts of the mag are different that they are completely different. I'll take your word for it that this is not the new model that takes Mk Series mags.

So will it even be released by the end of this year.  I just find it odd how they moved it all the way back to Q4 and really have not been releasing any news about it to the public or to the retailers on the exact date it will be available.

Yah, I kind of thought it was odd that it even got pushed back to Q4. It's just a different version of the MK Series so there can't be too much testing and R&D needed. I figured out of KWA's 2012 line-up, this one would be first. I'm also suprised the ATP-Auto is taking forever. I guess that effort is going to the AKs and KRISS. I just want my 1911.
