forgive my possible naivete, but is there a specific outer barrel type needed for the KWA ATP? I would like to use a longer inner barrel with a mock suppressor, but the stock ATP does not have a threaded outer barrel. Anyone know where I can find a threaded barrel?

Last I knew, while barrels may be available, the ATP is not designed to be used with a mock suppressor.  Some my do it, but I believe it can adversely effect the guns operation.

actually I think he's fine. if he finds a very light maybe alluminum mock suppresor. and a KWA threaded outer barrel I think he's fine. I'd actually like to see him try this, but the extension probably cant be too heavy or it may ruin the cycle.

its really not safe, the outer barrel tilts when the slide is cycled, and it will snap your barrel, i have heard of one working because it was made of pvc and was jerry rigged so as to not put stress on the barrel. really just not a good idea =(

I'll stand behind this all day long. It attaches to the inner barrel. You do need a longer inner though, but since your going to get one, it's all good. The inner barrel doesn't move while cycling on the ATP. If you use this thing the added weight has no effect. Cycling is just as quick with no problems. Thing is though, since the extension is attached to the inner barrel instead of the outer barrel, you want to be careful not to smack it on something and bend your barrel. But you'd really have to hit it hard for that to be a problem.
