That is, until Colt received a $22.5 million contract from the USMC just recently to make a railed 1911 for them!! (can't you tell, I'm excited!)

I'm going to buy the m9 to night......hopefully. Since my LM4 is not 100% reliable (I'd say its about 90%) I really need a gun I can count on. So due to the M226's puffing I think I'll go with the M9. Thanks everyone for your help!

Wake me when Colt's starts delivering their improved M1911 pistols to the Marine Corps :) .  I've been a M1911 guy all my adult life but I'm already reading contact cancelling rumors and poor quality samples.  A good M1911 is very expensive to produce.  Anyone can make a mediocre version, even Kimber.
