ok my bolt catch has stoped working I did the mod and it will lock back but when I remove the mag the bolt will release . But sometimes it will hold but when I start to put a mag in the magwell the bolt will release so I think the bolt it not being held back well. But I did file down the bolt carrier.  So please help me with this

I'd imagine either the bolt stop or the bolt carrier is rounded in their contact point and not allowing it to hold properly. Also if you did the spring mod like me and Boobie, possibly the spring has too much tension and its forcing the bolt stop down.

ya I did your mod and I pull the spring out and it help some and all the contact points are flat

If pulling out the spring helped then the spring probably has too much tension, did you cut 1/4 of it off also?

yes I did but when I pull out the spring it still happens

When you filed the bolt did you square it up? If its at an angle it wont catch properly. Pics of bolt catch and bolt would be helpful in diagnosing this

Maybe the bolt stop isn't rising high enough.  May need to file a little more.

Maybe the face of the bolt needs some attention too?  Look to see if it is mushrooming a bit where the bolt catch engages the front of the bolt.
