SB1315 has passed the California Assembly yesterday and is now on the governor’s desk. Governor Brown has 10 days to sign the bill and pass it into law. WE HAVE NO TIME TO LOSE.

PLEASE have as many people you know in CA to call the governor’s office at (916) 445-2841 (press 1 for English, then press 6 for a representative) and say: My name is _______, I am calling about SB1315 and I oppose it.

PLEASE also have them go on to the governor’s website at: http://gov.ca.gov/m_contact.php and fill in his/her name, email, choose SB1315 from the dropdown menu and press “submit”. This will take you to another page where you will select “CON” and write a message to the governor.

Please encourage as many people as possible to do the same thing as this will be the end of Airsoft if its sign by the Governor.

Lets work together and save this sport that we all love!

This is definitely a post worth posting, but is it still okay if were out of state to call up? I know in the past we were supposed to leave our zipcode and all.

I think the Governor should know about out of state opposition to the bill since a majority of the countries guns originate from CA (Los Angeles), so he is at least aware of potential lawsuits that the state  could face coming from different states. If he signs it in, I may personally seek the advice of legal counsel if LA County does in fact try to ban the sale / possession of airsoft guns without putting it up for vote.

Quite honestly I have never heard of a toy being banned / outlawed before, and would find it ridiculous if they did.

It started with SB 798.
Some kids were messing around with bb guns, cops stopped by them, kids ran, cops caught up with one kid, kid flashed a pellet gun, cops shot him, kid became paralyzed, and the parents freaked out and blamed everyone they could except themselves for being bad parents or their kid for being stupid.
Stupid people making stupid choices that result in stupid laws that take away us smart people's rights.

I concur on the stupid law comment. This law doesn't solve the core issue: Getting guns off the streets & out of the hands of people that shouldn't have them. In fact, this could unintentionally make the problem worse.... criminals that would have purchased "look a likes" will be pushed into obtaining firearms as there would no longer be quick / cheap access to them.

Of course that's on top of the damage it does to the state's economy.

It is to easy to go to the governors site and press con. Even write a note to the governor.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A CALIFORNIA RESIDENT OR OF VOTING AGE TO DO THIS.

NOW DO IT.

NO JUST DO IT

NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard from airsoft gi (read this on their Facebook rather) that the Governor doesn't care about your opinion if your outta state he won't be inclined to listen to you compared to a Californian resident calling in, as for me I'm starting to worry that this bill will pass and the possible outcome it may have on our sport. I hope this turns out to be just another bill that's forgotten.

I followed the instructions and went to the site. The Governor does not ask where you live OR how old you are, just asks for your email address. So he can't tell where you are. You can just go to that bill and click "CON" and it gets tallied.

Politicians get a tally at the end of the day from their aides. Get our numbers up. Go there and say something or just click CON. Dont think to hard about this. PULL THE FRICKIN TRIGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems the Governor signed SB1315 into action, hopefully this doesn't continue to spread throughout the state/s.

::sigh:: I just hope Los Angeles county just restricts sales and possession to individuals 18+, anything more restrictive will create chaos.
