My leaking PMAG has been with KWA for 20 days now. Ugh!

Boobie, do you do repairs?

Why not send them an e-mail for an update?

Thats why I don't send my stuff in for repairs, it always takes longer than needed. Most likly you just needed to identify which o-ring in the mag is giving you problems, and replace it. Only takes about 5 min once you have the right part, and if that doesn't work I usually sacrifice it to the airsoft gods.

FYI, you can contact KWA with the RMA number to receive a status of your repair.

Got a reply.  KWA has no parts to repair the PMAG. They don't know when the shipment will come in.

After you remove the two bottom screws, tap around the shell to try and loosen it up. Then, while holding the shell lightly upside down, try to hammer down the bottom with your palm.  It'll slowly come out. For extra precaution, do this on your bed just in case it comes crashing down so you don't break the feed lip.

Yea thats not working. Any other tips?

yeah
dont remove the 1 of the bottom screws completely, and push on it with your screwdriver while holding the shell tightly...
top will pop loose with enough clearance to pull it free

A procedure I use to remove the mag core from the PMAG shell, after removing the two baseplate screws, is to hold the mag in one hand while pushing on the spring-loaded baseplate catch with a narrow tool.  The core slides right out every time.  Don't push too hard or the core will go flying to the floor.

I found if you take a small flat blade screwdriver and use the silver aluminum plunger as a pry point to get the sleeve to slide down. Once you get it down a bit, you can use a wider flat blade screwdriver and insert the tip between the metal mag and plastic sleeve and twist. That will give you leverage to pry them apart. Once you can get a good grip on the metal housing its easy to slide the sleeve off. I found both screws on the side of the mag were leaking. I just tightened everything. Make sure your screwdriver fits the hole proper, or you will just damage the slots and it wont tighten. I removed the gas release valve and cleaned and lubed with silicone oil and it works great now.

PS using needle nose pliars for getting the sleeve off will probaly cause some blood blisters. You need to squeeze so hard, that when it slips you will almost 100% pinch some skin. I hate blood blisters.

In any maintenance procedure, it is always best to use the least harsh method.  Using the procedure above will most likely create tooling marks...

I use the same method as dos_Santos. Works like a charm and won't cause damage to the magazine.

I simply poke a flat head into the button made for releasing the ranger plates/base plates until it pops up, then just pull it out from the top. Easy peasy! The important thing to remember is that the bolt catch arms may fall out if they're facing the floor or if you do it too violently. Also the follower and spring can go flying out if you're not prepared.

I find the most difficult part of the whole thing is getting the bottom pins back in after removing the core bottom... it basically requires my full body weight(145lb) pressing the mag onto a flat surface to line up the holes properly.

Also getting the inner post to sit just right with the right amount of tension from either screw can be difficult, which if done wrong may be the cause of the oh so common leak. Try using 2 screw drivers on either side, or try putting your finger inside and holding the post in place, as I found it likes to spin with your screw driver if one side is tight already.

Anyone know what size screws part PTS-25 (Magazine BASE SCREW) and PTS-26 (Magazine Feed Lip SCREW) are?
I ended up stripping those screws from disassembling my mags. Called KWA Pro Shop and unfortunately they don't have them in stock. I'll probably have to source some screws from Ace Hardware.
Thanks in advanced.
