Hey guys, finally got to go out and shoot my lm4. I noticed that after every shot fired, there is a like "boyinggg" sound. (kind of like coming from a spring) Is that normal? Is that from the spring in the stock? This is my first gbbr, but not smg, so I'm not the most experienced with this type of platform. So kind of in need of some help. Thanks

Yes that's what you are hearing. You can only hear it cause it's right next to your ear. You wouldn't notice it from 5ft-10ft away.

Normal, I wouldn't be worried. Also, I don't think there is a why to eliminate this.

The spring noise is coming from the buffer tube. It's normal. Real AR's supposedly make the same noise too, just the sound is covered up from ear pro and the blast.

I eliminated this noise by SLIGHTLY uncoiling the spring in the center. I mean slightly, this increases the diameter of the spring just a hair and reduces the springs vibration.  I did this the second day I had it and have put over 10k rounds through it since.

Some real steel AR guys have used a light coat of heavy grease and some have even dipped the spring in that hand tool rubber coating.

My real steel AR-15, and the M-16s I have used during training all make the exact same sound when firing. You can hear it even with earpro on. Its completely normal, I was actually really happy when my LM4 sounded the same. Its sort of... comforting. :)
