Hey I was looking into getting a tight bore barrel for my MP7 and since I don't know hardly anything about them, I was wondering if there are different versions for AEG's and GBB's, or are they all the same? Has anyone had any experience with the EdGi 6.03 barrel for the m11a1?

I was also wondering if there were any other upgrades for the MP7 that could increase its accuracy, such as a different hop-up, or anything else?

Thanks

There's a new hop up bucking called Devil by A+, though it doesn't look very different from the OEM. You won't be able to use AEG barrels, I have a PDI 6.01mm inner barrel and it significantly improved accuracy and grouping. Another option is the extended inner barrel made by Falcon, though it'll boost your FPS to above what most fields will allow.

I tried the a+ bucking in the mp7 and it had worst performance then the stock KWA bucking.

Same here boobiem4h. I have a ksc/kwa reaps on the way. Maybe that will work better. Now I'm just waiting for the falcon 363 barrel to be back in stock. I have the dangerwerx npas so hopefully I can control the velocity to around 400.

Hopefully it'll drop the fps enough as the falcon extended inner barrel and shoot our fps to well over 500fps.

Just realized I didn't get a reaps bucking. Now that I look it seems like they don't even make one for kwa yet. I may be wrong though. Yea I am nervous about the fps. I use the mp7 as a woodland weapon but our field still doesn't like guns over 400 unless they are a DMR. I prefer the mp9 with the low power bolt for CQB.

A+ studios and reaps are the same thing..a+ studios is the company's name and reaps is an acronym for range extending blah blah blah..they make bucking for aeg, tm style pistol and we open bolt, and kwa/ksc pistol and smg. The open bolt and tm pistol buckings have the best performance from my experience..the kwa/ksc buckings are almost identical in looks but lack the upgrade performance one would think to get by changing to it.

I got an a+ bucking a few weeks before I picked up a tightbore. I installed it with the stock barrel and noticed no increase or decrease in performance. At the very least I don't have to worry about swelling, not that I really was before though...

There's a cheap improvement you can do to make feeding smoother, actually quite noticeably more consistent shots by sanding down the feedlips just a enough to make sure there's no resistance when loading up...

So here's a question...has anyone ever attempted to put a barrel longer than 363mm into a KWA MP7? I've been looking into it for a while now, and so far the best combo idealistically I can find for it is the low power bolt "down grade for an upgrade", a Guarder 6.02 500mm brass barrel, a TM bucking, and a custom outer barrel kit which I still have yet to find long enough to fit the 500... What I'm trying to do is turn this MP7 into a competitor of the Polar Star drop in M4 gearbox without paying for it... Any tips other than give up?...lol

I ordered a custom length 6.03 TBB with hop-up direct from http://www.falcon-tw.com.tw/. My intent was to increase my inner barrel length, but not to exceed the tip of my ACC flash hider. I wanted to increase the length just enough so I wouldn't have to keep a mock suppressor fixed at all times to protect a longer inner barrel. I went from a 160mm (6.29") to 234mm (9.21"). In retrospect I should have ordered a 232mm. I will be testing my "BB Slinger" this weekend with both the standard and CQB bolt assembles as well as different grams BB's. I'll post my results at a later date.

Ordered on November 27th and received it this afternoon via mail. Sam is his name and barrels is his game. E-mail address is sam@falcon-tw.com.tw. Very responsive, but also account for time zone difference.

$50 for the barrel and hop-up rubber.
$31 for the shipping.

Edgi was going to charge me-

$55 barrel only.
$45 shipping.

Please post, I'm sure you will, the before and after FPS with the new barrel.  I have the EdGI 6.03 installed in my MP7 and the boost in fps was significant.  Interested to see the change you get.

FPS results.

Baseline-
160mm 6.05mm
Standard Bolt
Indoors- 66°
Spartan Imports PRO Chronograph

Average from 10 Shots using .20gm bb's
388 FBS

Upgrade-
234mm 6.03 TBB
Standard Bolt
Indoors- 68°
Spartan Imports PRO Chronograph

Average from 10 Shots using .20gm bb's.
412 FPS

Average from 10 Shots using .25gm bb's.
397 FPS

Average from 10 Shots using .28gm bb's
367 FPS

Will update with CQB bolt at a later date....

Update-

I installed a CQB Bolt with a slight internal modification... I strectched the rocket valve spring per some post on this forum. With the additional FPS gain from the lengthen barrel along with the stretched spring I was able to average from 10 shots using .20 gm at 337 FPS with the CQB bolt... Indoor Temperature was at around 61°. Obliously the FPS will rise when it warms up in the summer. As for accuracy, I was able to keep 6 out 10 shots in the C ring of a CEDHK Traditional (USPSA) target at 100 ft. Two shots missed the target completely.

Thanks!  Can you post the "stock" FPS figure so we can compare to the new barrel?

80 bucks for a 25fps increase?  Any accuracy benefit?

What's the guess of the muzzle velocity of the tighter 6" barrel (also available)?.  The gas system may be optimized for this length barrel and the BB is slowing down in the over-long barrel.
