The thing that throws me is the front sling attachment point. On the standard LM4 it hangs to the side of the triangle, on the Magpul edition it looks like it hangs from below.....

Because the side sling wont work properly with the MOE handguard.

My point was that the standard LM4 sling attachment point is not in the normal position while the Magpul edition's is.

Yeah my gun is already kitted out with Magpul furniture, which is the main reason I decided not to get the Magpul edition as I was going to change it to fde anyways. The only reason I wanted the Magpul edition ended up being the reason I didn't want it in the end and that's the receiver. While the Magpul lower is real, it's extremely rare and unlikely for someone to have and I'd only imagine highly unlikely that an operator would have. Though I do really want pmags, hoping that they'll maybe do better with cool down and possibly be lighter.

Was just about to say this! I wont be getting mine in the first run though. Waiting to see if the errors that plagued the LM4 at release have been somewhat fixed. If not, I'll keep waiting...

I don't think the errors plagued the LM4 as much as you think. As far as I've seen, there have only been a handful of lemons, and thousands of customers happy. I don't think that should hold off your purchase.
