I installed mine over the weekend. If you got the Magpul USA version, there are some detailed instructions which will help. Please post pics when you get it!

You're delta ring, like mine, is very stiff. You are going to need to use an armorer's tool (Ar15 wrench) to lock it into place and push down, releasing the initial tension on the spring in the delta ring. Once you release that initial tension, the delta ring will be easier to push down. You can use an AR15 wrench, or secure the delta ring in vice and push down, using a piece of cloth to protect from scratching the delta ring, or use plumber's pliers to lock onto the delta ring and push down.

You may remove the hand guards while keeping your LM4 intact, yes.

Put the butt of your stock on the ground so the gun is facing up towards you. Use both of your thumbs and index fingers to push it down, and use your weight. It's possible to do with your hands. Otherwise I'm sure there's someway to push it back with a vice, very handy tools they are.

Hmmmm I like it but leaves somthing to be desired and with so many people going with moe look I am considering DD 7.0 if I go this route is the install similar or is it going to be a bit harder? Want to keep front post and go with a devgru look but would I need to remove delta ring? Or with the 7.0 being short will it be as easy as the moe grip?

The delta ring would need to be replaced for a DD rail and it should be a direct swap without mods as per Niko....he did his with a 7" DD.  View the LM4 gallery for the pics.

You'll probably need an armorers wrench and possibly a heat gun..use the wrench to spin the barrel nut/d-ring assembly off..might to heat it up if its hard to get off. Then you can install your new rail from there.

If you want to keep the KWA delta ring, why not just get a Troy or DD drop in carbine length rail? Madbull doesn't have any airsoft versions, but a real one isn't TOO expensive.
