Unlike all other M4, I've notice my LM4's magazine catch left side does not rest flush to the receiver. Is this normal? I also notice the brass tube where the mag release set goes through. had the flared end on the left side of receiver, is this normal or misassembled?

yes..this is normal..for both the mag release to stick out on left side and for the brass bushing that the mag release goes thru. do not worry..your mags wont fall out unless you press the mag release.

I know but its really unrealistic, I 'm used to inserting the magazine and feel the catch if it's flush to know if it has seated or not (for low light condition)

Man, The LM4 does not deserve the PTR status.... It's not 1:1 spec, mag release is not like real firearm, Bolt catch does not behave like real firearm (pulling charging handle cannot release the bolt)

I think these little alterations to the gun were some of the contributing factors as to how the LM4 passed through ATF guidelines and got accepted.

I don't see why the thing with the charging handle is a big deal.  I've never seen anybody do it.  The bolt release works just fine.

doubtful
WE M4 which has an 1:1 outer dimension and 100% functions replicated was able to be imported on the masses.
From looking at the exploded diagram, KWA did not modify subsentially from the KSC Japan ones.

I modded my bolt catch to release when the charging handle is pulled back. That annoyed me too

When you say "KWA did not modify subsentially from the KSC Japan ones.", you're saying they arn't much different from, well, the KSC version, at least as far as these little inaccuracies go? That's too bad because I wouldn't have any problem buying one from Hong Kong if it meant I could have the standard features while keeping the KWA quality.

If and when I pick one of these up, I might have to PM you on that boobie. That's not really the intended way to reload on an empty, but still, I'd like to have as close a replica as possible.

Please do, and try to make your video as concise as possible.
I've send an Email to RA-Tech asking if its possible for them to fix the magazine catch flush issue.
