I'm still surprised at KWA's approach: if American law requires to have an orange tip 1/2 inch outside of the pistol why not make it into a threaded barrel extension. Tokarevs were made [barrel extension] compatible, not to many but quite a few. And until PB (Makarov with removable integrated [barrel extension]) were put into production, supressed TT-33s with 7.62x25 subsonic ammo were used by KGB and Military special forces. (sorry, no English subtitles, but you get the idea)

I don't know the exact reason why KWA chose not to have orange threads but I could think of two good reasons why.

1. A non-threaded orange tip would discourage covering up the orange tip with a barrel extension. (Could argue that the USP Tactical's come with threads however)

2. To discourage the use of barrel extensions since barrel extensions can affect the performance and reliability of the pistol if there is too much weight distributed to the front.

Frankly, I'm surprised by the lack of aftermarket support from aftermarket/accessory company's. Threaded barrels for the TT-33 and MKV would be nice.
