If you noticed, the real HK45 has this o ring on the barrel as well. The ring on the KWA version is to simply replicate the firearm it copies as close to 1:1 ratio as possible.

that is correct..also the hammer lock inside the magwell replicates the real steel version. i really like all the detail put into the HK45.
