Hey my 1911 stopped shooting. The mag dosnt leak gas or anything but whe I try to shoot it it's not doing anything. I took off the slide and tried to dry fire it. When I did that I noticed that the thing that pushes the button on the mag that releases the gas is barely moving. I'm not sure how to fix it so any suggestions would be great.

The gas release valve on the mag may be stuck and may need to be replaced or cleaned and relubed.  Empty out all the gas from the mag and add some drops of silicone oil to it and massage it in.  If you have a valve key it would be even better to take the valve out and relube the entire unit.
If it's not the mag I am thinking the firing pin has lodged in the gun.  Look at the back of the slide where the hammer is.  There should be 2 pins there and sometimes if you dry fire too much the little pin below the large one can lodge inside the slide.

Just a suggestion.  My pin sometimes gets stuck on the first shot when I manually rack the gun.  I just push on the lever in the picture where the pin is sheared off ( see link in Niko's post).  Note: you must remove the mag to access this lever.  It sets the firing pin correctly and then works without an issue.  Perhaps that is happening to your pistol.

I read the post and he was spot on when he said the hammer just flopped around but i checked my hammer and the pin isn't sheared off like in his post. I did notice that there is a spring that isn't attached to it. Could this be the problem? If so, how can i fix it?

My suggestion here is to send the gun in to be fixed.  If the spring you are describing is detached or broken then it would require a strip down and replacement/re-seating.  Without seeing the gun it's hard to provide more insight.

Go to the Help Desk and start a ticket.  An RMA# will be issued and you can send the gun in.  The techs at KWA will have you back running again in no time.
