So after having read many things on various forums, I have found nothing conclusive about the use of Madbull's 6.03 inner barrels with a KWA 2Gx hop up unit. I have a 300mm Madbull barrel that I want to use in my SR10 because of a corresponding outer barrel I have thrown on there, but am not sure if it will feed and work properly. I've heard that KWA's barrel windows are different than normal, along with the whole diameter concerns that bring attention to specific barrel/bucking combos and was wondering:

Will a Madbull 6.03mm barrel feed and function properly with a KWA 2Gx hop up unit AND bucking?

My experience with MadBull inner barrels in KWA guns is fantastic.
Others not so much. You are not going to get a conclusive answer by KWA owners as a whole.

All I can tell you  is my experience.
I currently use a MadBull 509mm/6.03mmtbb in both my KWA m16's.
I currently use a MadBull455mm.6.03tbb in my KWA 2gxm4
I also used a MadBull 363mm/6.03tbb in my KWA gen1 m4.
That is four MadBull inner barrels in three different lengths.
All the performance results were fantastic and MadBull inner barrels are my inner barrel of choice in my KWA guns.

For you specific situation, why do want to use a length of 300mm in a SR10?
It's stock inner barrel is 425mm. Do you really want to go that much shorter?
That is considerably shorter?

Remember this:
The performance of the gun is the result of the skill of the tech that performs the work.
Inner barrel changes are not difficult to do, but none the less require some precision in doing it.

Well, in pre-KWA experiences, the 300mm inner barrel is the best compromise of range and mobility for my play style/engagement distances. I would still like to keep the stock barrel and not chop it to the appropriate length so that I can have the longer barrel for days where I would need that extra range, in which case I would hide the excess in a mock suppressor.

As far as the install goes, I am fairly tech savvy; inner barrels/hop ups have never been an issue, I have just read a bunch of contradicting statements about the compatibility of aftermarket parts.

What bucking are you using with your Madbull barrels?

I use a madbull 363mm 6.03 TBB for when I wanna go long range/ field play. Paired with a KWA 2GX hop up and bucking it works great. Also boosts me ~40fps from the stock SR5 barrel (225mm). It's great after you get the bucking broken in.

If I am reading your question right, I didn't have to mod anything to make it work. I did use the C-clip though, but I didn't use the brass O-Ring. I compensated the brass O-Ring with teflon tape and it's been holding up pretty well.

Any mods done would be needed due to whatever bucking you are using, stock 2g or not.
No mod's would be reqired for the fact that you would be using a MadBull brand inner barrel.

For the OP, a 300mm inner barrel and 2g bucking really would not require any mods.
I usually do a teflon tape mod on all my buckings for I do think it saves a tiny bit of air leak and gives the inner barrel a bit more stability. Then again, I way over do it on the teflon tape and that is why it adds inner barrel stability.

If you are using a MadBull brand inner barrel, stock inner barrel, or any after market inner barrel, and your gearbox has an m130 spring or above and you are using the stock 2g bucking, I would suggest a Nub Mod or a FireFly Buffer Rubber. This is just my opinion, not everyone agrees with this.

Just a quick question for you.. why exactly are you wanting to change your inner barrel?
I own a RIS and i put a KM Head 6.02 ( from the proshop ) and my brother has a SR10 with a stock barrel and get just as much range/accuracy as myself.
Just from what i've read the SR series already come with a inner barrel of 6.03 quality or better.
Thats one of the reasons the pro shop has stopped carrying the TBB's in the sr series lengths.

Alright, so hit the chrono today after tossing the barrel in and everything checks out. Consistent feeding, fits well, and was reading a consistent 360-370 FPS, which is where it should be on account of everything else done to it. So all in all, bench tests show it working fine when paired with the 2Gx bucking.
However, I have yet to test its range, and will do so when i get the chance.

I am changing the inner so that it does not exceed my outer barrel length. If it wasn't stated above, my apologies, but I had swapped the outer barrel for a Madbull 10.3" one.

I'd like to ask other's opinions on this, but I own an M16-2GX and after installing a madbull 6.03 after two years of owning my M16, the range and accuracy increased VERY significantly. Some people say madbull are better in KWA, some people say that they are a downgrade, but in my experience it was most definitely a very substantial upgrade. Just wanted some other people's opinion on this, anyone who has experience please reply!

What bucking are you using? I would imagine after two years, you changed the Bucking along with the Inner Barrel? Either way, you may have had a poorly installed bucking previously. This could have given you a needless air leak. Having said that, MadBull Inner Barrels are my choice of Inner Barrel for most of my guns, KWA and TM Clones. The performance in my KWA guns with MadBull Inner Barrels has been fantastic from day one, over five years ago.
