If it's the increased weight and force, wouldn't the A2 buffer cause the same issue?

The A2 buffer is not a solid heavy metal like the angry gun buffer and is much lighter. But it is too long to use as is in the retractable buffer tube. I have an A2 buffer tube installed as part of my ACE skeleton stock setup.

Yeah, I saw boobie's vids about the A2 buffer. So basically, more recoil is produced from the weight of the buffer?

When you guys mention an "A2 buffer" do you mean the standard M16/AR16 buffer for the full stocked rifle?  Used in a carbine length lower receiver extension?  Doesn't work in the real world.  :)

Yeah definitely wouldn't in the RS world, both me and Boobie are running cut down A2 buffers in our LM4s.

Excuse the half a** quick picture I made but here's why I think it's not the weight and force that's causing the damage.

The bolt stop is being braced by the impact block, even with extreme force slamming the bolt into the bolt stop, how would this result in the blue section being rounded off?

The only way for the blue area to be rounded off is for the tip of the bolt stop (which you'll see some damage on) to only come into contact with the corner/tip of the bolt.

Timing is key for bolt stop function to work. As the bolt goes back on last round and starts to move forward again, that bolt catch should be moving upward to catch bolt. So distance with bolt all the way back into buffer tube and bolt catch in up position should be kept to a minimal, like an 3mm. Anything more or less then that will cause problems if using the ag kit. Less would mean the bolt stop doesnt have enough time to catch bolt, more would mean the bolt is gaining momentum, much more momentum with ag kit due to the spring on end of buffer 'springing' the bolt forward now, slamming into bolt catch. If no bolt catch mod is done to make bolt catch move into position higher then the bolt catch is barely contacting the bolt. And movement of bolt catch is all started by bb follower spring inside of mag. And that energy from the spring is transferred over to bb follower>to first cam lever> second cam lever> to bolt catch. Now thats alot of transfering over many parts and some energy from bb folower spring is lost so bolt catch is not held up with all the energy say if the bb follower spring was pushing up on the bolt catch alone. I hope yall follow me on this..another thing too is the steel the bolt is made of is a softer type of steel then the bolt catch is. All the wear ive seen between the bolt and bolt catch is on the bolt.

Anyone know if the RA-Tech super recoil buffer is any better?

They use it in their custom KSC M4.

Excellent product, I have a review on my YouTube. I want to "fix" the AG kit purely out of curiosity.

Outstanding. I guess this is going on my upgrade list along with a Magpul MOE Carbine Fixed Stock.

How bad is your gas efficiency with the AG buffer? Can you still get at least one mag per fill? How is the efficiency versus the RA and RS A2 buffers?

The RAT and A2 aren't much less than the OEM setup. The AG can get one mag on full auto and more than a mag on Semi.

How about recoil? Is the AG a lot stronger than the other two?

I could see that from the video. My buddy saw the video and asked if it was AS or RS :P Is the wasted gas worth the extra kick?
