Has anybody played with the two piece outer barrel assembly yet? Do you know if part #64 is CCW or CW threading? Is it 14 mm? I was thinking of removing part #43 and replacing it with a barrel extension.

Haven't tried it yet. Was thinking about doing the same thing. The KWA KM series outer barrel looks similar in construction. They both thread just under the front sight. I might pickup the Guarder 250mm tbb and the KWA KM CQB extension to try it out.

I will answer whether they are CW or CCW this weekend when I get the chance to look again. It is the same as the KM4 (new edition)'s outer barrel assembly. I talked with KingSize, the KM CQB extension (advertised on the online proshop) is built for the OLD edition of barrels, so they are not compatible. You will have to call and ask for the current edition of barrel extension for CQB series, (as the new extension is not currently listed for sale on the online proshop). Ask for the one that is female to male, not male to male, (assuming you are keeping your barrel extension up).

Any word on this. I would like a shorter barrel but I'm not sure which direction do I turn it. Plus do I need to heat it up or anything to loosening the locktite.

Going by the House Rules, we cannot give any tutorials or advice to the removal of the orange safety markings.... The only thing I'll say is that it is the same outer barrel assembly found on the current KM4 series. Search around the forum and you will probably find instructions.

Staying on topic with the outter barrel would a suppressor actually function? Like, a supressor with a foam inside? Im not interested in shortening the barrel as long as the 9" rail fits on ok with some of the outter barrel out. I own a couple supressors for my AEG's and wasnt sure if they'd work on a GBB. Thoughts?

With a barrel extension with foam packed inside I'm sure you can dampen the noise coming from the end of the barrel, but you will probably still hear noise, and also from the bolt area. The "s" word as we like to call it, is banned on this forum. With respect, I'd advise that we stay on topic, and reread the house rules or else this thread may be locked...

I never said I wanted to remove the orange. I would still keep the stock bird cage. Just would like a shorter barrel.

I also didnt stray from topic, the "s" word is a form of barrel extension. I do apologize for using a word frowned upon on the forum. None the less, I did understand you would still hear noise, just wasnt sure if it would eat at the foam. Thanks.

Answering your question, the flash hider has CCW threads so left tightens, right loosens. Same applies to the barrel extension. I'm talking the four inch spacer. Not a separate 14mm threaded barrel extension that goes over the flash hider.

Do any of the replacement outer barrels work for the LM4? (ex. Madbull Daniel Defense 20" Outer Barrel)  I want to replace the 16" barrel with a 20" and a 509mm tbb... Thoughts? Ideas?

No, AEG outers are tooled to accept an AEG hop-up.  They are not compatible with a GBB M4.  That goes for brands other than KWA too.
