I can't seem to get the hop-up all of the way turned off, I try to adjust it all the way down, but I always see the hop up split.  Is that normal?

Is your hop up dial on the right, or is it left, because If it is in the right, that means it is already turned off.

Also, do you mean when you look into the barrel the hop up NUB is split? Because that's due to design and nothing is wrong with that... Or are you talking about the hop up dial being split... Because if it is, that's not good.

Also, have you checked to see if your hop up "teeth" are broken?

When I turn the hop up down until it is off and then turn it all the way back up to its max it only turns about 45 degrees max and when the hop up is off I can still see the split nub,  in my MP7 when the hop is all the way off, I don't see the hop up protruding.

From what I can tell atm, the teeth seem to be fine.

EDIT:  One tooth is completely broken and a couple are chipped severely.
