Refer to this thread http://kwausa.com/fo...?showtopic=8515 for original design.  Man, was this one loud.

Tonight I went a different direction with the outer barrel setup.  I went with a drilled fluted 6061 aluminum design this time, machined from a piece of aluminum stock.

I only got one WIP picture this time around.  Here I have the stock machined to fit snug and flush in the barrel block, and verifying that the chamfers for the roll pins are correctly located.

Here is the barrel after a quick polishing with emery and tripoli compound.

And, finally..the end result.

And now that I have successfully managed twice to make this gun louder, I will soon machine a ccw threaded outer barrel that recesses inside of the upper/lower receiver and then commence to suppress the sound of this loud replica.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks.  Now I just need to figure out whats going on with my one week old replica.  Tonight (before installing a new outer barrel) I've had two bb's get stuck in the rear of the barrel (hop up) in four magazines.  Not a bb issue, not a silicone saturated hop up.
