I don't plan on using it in CQB, so the FPS cap is about 400-450. We usually don't do chrono tests, but if it hurts really badly and players complain, they might check the FPS.

Also, I was considering changing BBs. KSC BBs are AWESOME, don't get me wrong, but they cost a lot. Wouldn't it be more beneficial to use cheaper BBs, like G&G, until I get my barrel and cylinder upgrade?

You shouldn't use cheap BBs!  One of the major cause of striped piston (leading to a cracked gearbox) is jammed BBs.  8 out of 10 of those cases are because of inferior BBs.

Ah, I dont think people can really tell if its that much more over 450fps. The feild near me only allows 400fps (or 410Fps their pretty lenient with the fps) for AEG's. 450 fps is pretty high, enough to break skin. Do you play with full masks? Cause if not then I dont think people would be able to tell if its that much over the limit, and if it is and you dont want people knowing, then do that trick that I posted before :D

Ok, I need to confirm that these will work in the KWA.

Cylinder: http://www.airsoftgi...products_id=147
Barrel: http://www.airsoftgi...roducts_id=1231

Also, could anyone point me in the right direction for installing a cylinder? Thanks!

Systema Cylinda will work.
Madbull TBB.... It'll be a bit tight using stock bucking.  I suggest you try something else like Prometheus, DBC, Systema.

What if I purchase a Systema Hopup Bucking? Would that fit a Madbull? Prometheus was my first choice, but it's out of stock, and so is DBC. Also, Madbull is a very decent price, so I can buy the cylinder, barrel, and silencer in a single order. Unless there are any glaring problems with Madbull, I would prefer to purchase that.

Thanks!

EDIT: The JBU M16 Barrel is actually cheaper! Also, it's confirmed to work, thanks to the compatibility thread :D! Thank you, KWA!

KWA M4A1

I am thinking of upgrading my accuracy, by getting new inner barrel and hop up bucking..

Does this fit?
Systema BS 6.04mm Barrel for XM177E2 / M4A1 / SIG551 (363mm)
G&G Hop Up Bucking Set

Go with the DBC inner barrels.
The standard KWA inner barrel is 6.05mm in diameter
So your systema barrel that your looking is 6.04mm, you wont be getting that much more accurate shots, the DB Customs barrel is 6.01mm in diameter, resulting in a more accurate shot and increase fps.
Click HERE to look at the inner barrel at Airsoft GI's website. They also have a good section on hop up.

Or before and after every use, its for people who care for their gun. It shouldnt "inconvience" you at all if you enjoy keeping a well kept gun.

yeah and the quality of the BBs matter alot!

NEVER use Golden Ball brand!  I have been using ICS .25 BBs but was out (crazy KWA ROF with 11.1 lipo) I rushed to the nearest shop and found out that they only sold "Golden Ball" BBs.

I noticed that a thick layer of teflon was forming inside my barrel and messing up my groupings! arrgggg

You'd be surprised how many people do not realize the importance of using quality BBs and keeping the barrel clean.  We received quite a bit of phone calls asking why the coating inside their barrel was flaking off ...... <_<

yeah.. it's the coating on the BB's not the barrel.  There is no coating on the barrel at all.

Personally, I recommend you just use the gun for a while before considering any upgrade.  However, a good tightbore barrel goes a long way and you can't change the hopup unit because it's a two peice design.

And just for the record, we were tuning our KWA AEG's for Lion Claws 7.  a stock gun will shoot over 150 feet effective range.  One of my modified M4 with a 509mm barrel /w type 0 cylinder is shooting 221 feet.  everything else in the gun is stock.

KWA also recommend to use .25g bbs.
What brand Barrel did you get and was it a 6.01  6.03  or a 6.04? same info on the cylinder type 0 and were did you buy thies from i want my kwa m4a1 to be a beast ^^ thanks

How did you fit a 509mm barrel on your m4 doesn't it stick out or do you have a flash hider over it. Ive never seen a type 0 cylinder whats the difference between that and a regular like guarder cylinder. I've heard of it before though.

Meet my OTHER m4....

Posted Image

I have installed a different front set.

Madbull JG Rifle kit 12"
Prometheus 509mm TBB
Modify Type 0 (M16) cylinder
PHX m140 spring.

This bad boy chrono 496-500 FPS on MadBull Chrono using Toytec BBs .20g
470 FPS using .25g on Airsoft Elite BBs

I almost disable the Full Auto function on this gun as I want it to be semi only.
It been tested over 200+ feet effective range.

You do not want to be ping with this gun in less than 100 feet.

How did you disable the full auto function on your JP rifle??? Is it permanent?? or can it be easily switched on?

I plan on getting a Firefly bucking for my KWA M4 Carbine which shoots stock at around 400 fps. Should I get the Soft or the Hard version. I been researching alot through google about the Firefly bucking and some forums make it very confusing if I should use Soft for 400 fps or Hard for 400 fps. Would anybody kindly suggest what version, Soft or Hard, I should get for my M4?

Thanks guys!
