I plan on running just 4 to start out with.

Would it be a poor decision to only have 3 mag pouches? I think it'd be weird running around with 1 constantly empty, but in the down time I'm not sure what I'd do with the fourth.

I could do the whole ready-mag thing, but I'm assuming magpuls won't work with these mags (blocks the fill valve).

Lastly, speaking of the fill valve, are these things susceptible to damage from the dirtiness of the environment? Should I keep them covered with electrical tape or something when I'm not charging the mags?

Magpul's may not block the gas fill valve... I think the fill valves are a little bit off center, but we shall see... and just like other GBB magazines, the LM4's gas fill valves will still be susceptible to breaking if you drop the magazines too much/too hard. Unless you're filling the fill valve with mud, I think you'll be fine from dirtiness.

I hate to say this, mostly because I hate Evike more than any other airsoft company. But, they have a 20% off coupon going on right now. The code is evikenation

Yea, but they still nail you with the shipping costs, so it's almost a wash with the discount. IMO Free shipping + lower discount rate is better in the long run (large orders) than Shipping cost + larger discount rate. Math lesson for the day >> (c + X) > (Y + X), where c = a constant shipping cost & Y represents a variable shipping cost, X represents the variable cost for the items purchased.

When Evike had USPS they were the best choice for Hawaii customers because we dont get free shipping from either company. I hope they fix the USPS issue before Evike gets the LM4.

Evike has a discount code for free shipping, but you can't combine it with other codes, so it's one or the other.

Thats why I try not to buy from instate airsoft stores. I know, I know, support your local businesses, but for large purchases like this tax is usually annoying...

Yeah being able to save money on the taxes helps. But someday the government will get wise to all of that and put a stop to it.

In my state the politicians are considering a bill that will add taxes to online items purchased from out of state. It has a good chance of passing and this may catch on to other states.

I actually heard about something like that in my area as well. But instead of adding tax it the sales, they politely ask you to pay the taxes on your return...
Not too sure of how thats going to work

Getting off topic, the politicians have been mulling over implementing a federal internet sales tax to (in addition to local taxes) for years. I personally would prefer an economic model that asses federal sales taxes on purchases in place of income taxes.
