Hi all!

I was changing my flash hider on my gun and managed to snap part of the outer barrel assembly. I've contacted the Pro Shop to order a replacement, but was told the parts are out of stock and that I should check back "in a couple of months" to see if they have any in stock, with no ETA.

I would really rather not wait that long as I have some games coming up with no backup gun. I was wondering if the SRC or Echo-1 parts would work instead.

For reference, these are parts numbers:

199-1001-33
199-1001-34
and
199-1001-70

From the looks of it, the SRC is the exact same piece, minus the battery tab, but I want to be absolutely sure.

I am in the same boat, been waiting on the Pro Shop to re-stock the outer barrel assembly since January. :-/

I was thinking of buying the Echo1 assembly, but eye balling it based on photos, it looks like there would potentially be electrical harness / fuse compatibility issues.....

Since January? Wow!

I'll be the first to admit that the break was my fault and I put myself in the situation, but you would think KWA would keep parts in stock or at least let us order them and have the request put in to the factory.

Edit:

Here's the SRC part I was talking about, I've held my broken piece up for comparison (in front of me, not in the link):

While it looks like everything would line up fine, I'm still on the fence because I'd rather not waste the time/money on a part that I'm not 100% sure will fit.

Lol, tell me about it, to take questions of compatibility out of the equation, I was able to find a fairly priced second hand KWA G36c so I could salvage it for the part. Also downgraded the spring in the second G36c, so now I have a field gearbox and a CQB  gearbox; it only takes a few minutes to switch between gearboxes.

After getting some others to confirm that the SRC part looks exactly the same, I've ordered it.

It's coming from Hong Kong via airmail, so I have no idea when to expect it. When it does come in, I'll update this and the 3rd party thread with how/if it works.

By the way, I'll be having to rewire the new assembly once it's in. Is there a guide for separating the plastic parts (that hold the fuse, etc.) from the metal (flash hider screws onto it, runs almost the full length of the assembly) ? Or can anyone tell me how to do this without breaking my new parts?

Unfortunately, the SRC part does not fit. Even some modification of the part will not allow it.

Fortunately, JB Weld and a lot of patience goes a long way, and I was able to completely repair the part.

Don't know if your still following this thread but here goes.  This is the one I got to fit perfectly in my g36c, no mods.  My gun is the one from 2010 don't know which one yours is.  http://www.airsoftst...srcsg3607-.html
Also listed it on the 3rd party compatability page and wrote a review of the item on the company's web page.
