Well during the summer I'm planning on getting the ATP but I'm having some doubts.  Not gun wise ,but how I play.  For instance, the last event I went to I only used my kwa m16 and I didn't have a pistol , it worked out fine all day not having a pistol with me.  The pistol I have now is a KJW and Ive had it for a year now but most of the time I was using it in backyard games which isn't bad got a ton of kills but at the event it felt like I really didn't need one.  I'm wandering if the ATP or any kwa gbb is worth getting.  It would help a lot if you can give me insight on experiences you've had.

KWA gbb pistols are especially amazing. The recoil is strong and crisp, the gun is loud, and they all shoot accurate. I suggest holding out for the ATP Auto-- you get the option of full automatic fire. All the pistols are powered by NS2 gas system, which provides extra gas efficiency. The pistols all provide close to the same performance because they have the same gas engine, it is just the kind of pistol you want. In other words, all of the pistols will yield the same results. ATP is rather comfy and lightweight, but if you want a heavier gun go with one that has an all metal frame.
This is excluding the new 2012 pistols- which have an upgraded hop-up.
^ May not be true.

Believe so-- the HK45 is getting the new hop up, so I wouldn't see there'd be a reason not to implement it in the other new pistols.

i cant tell your if you need a sidearm or not but if you decide on a KWA for outdoors id get the ATP because it has reached out just as far as my m4 when i needed it to and it was accurate, i hit a coke can at 150 feet with one shot with mine

At this point the only GBB pistol I have confirmation will have the new hop-up is the HK45. Perhaps GW has more info for other new models?  The existing line of pistols would require a redesign but the there new pistols might not.

Eh. I'm content with the hop-ups in my KMP9, 1911, and USP. They reach out really far, especially with .25s. The HK .45 looks like a sick gun, might have to sell my USP and pick that up. I'll post what I think of the ATP when I get it by the end of the week.

Yes, at least the CQC model will fit. Serpa's don't cover the whole slide like G-Code holsters do, therefore I don't see how the selector would interfere with the holster fit.

Darn. So you have to decide between the pistols AND the rifles (LM4 and AKG)?

What are the differences from the old atp to the newer ones.  Why do the new changes make the new atps "better" then the older ones

the updated ATP just fixed little issues people had, a metal spring guide, a metal orange tip with no threads, and a trigger safety.  The overall gun is the same

Plus, KWA is adding one that features the fun mode! (Full auto fire)
