Here's my take on the upgrades you are thinking about.  The aluminum piston head and piston are as good if not better than the quality found in aftermarket upgrade parts so leave them alone until they wear out.  Which will not happen in the case of the piston head.  Regarding bore-up kits, they are a gimmick IMO.

Bore Up Kits:
Over rated!
Not really better than a full / type O cylinder. The bumper style piston head loses a lot of the air volume gained by the cylinder in my opinion.
Most importantly, a bore up kit will under perform in your KWA gun due to air nozzle compatibility with the hop-up unit.

Pistons:
I like this piston a lot:
Airsoft GI PE POM Polycarbonate Piston
http://www.airsoftgi...roducts_id=5841
It has 8 metal teeth and the second tooth removed.
It is also as strong as any polycarb piston I have ever used. Very close to a SuperCore Piston.

Piston Heads:
Here are two I really like:

AIM / Guarder Polycarbonate Ventilation Piston Head For Airsoft AEG Guns
http://www.evike.com...oducts_id=26510
Best polycarb piston head for the money, IMO.

Bravo Aluminum Piston Head w/Thrust Bearings
http://www.airsoftgi...roducts_id=6240
Very good aluminum piston head.

Why do you want to change things?  You spent the extra money for a kwa, leave it alone.  If you wanted to go upgrading everything just get a cheaper gun and upgrade your heart away.   The more you tinker the worse things will get for the most part.  I changed to a bravo red piston because the stock piston was out of stock.  I have noticed people having feeding issues, over spin, and other issues just changing things just to change them.  Leave it alone unless you know a lot about how things function together and how to troubleshoot problems.   I use kwa parts to upgrade other guns with great success.

What is wrong with the piston head?

there is nothing wrong with the kwa piston or piston head at all it dose exactly what kwa designed them to do stand up to an 11.1v lipo
there built rugged tough i don't use lipos so if i use light and faster ill git more of a g&p's speed on the 2000mah 9.6vs
