I got my gun Monday (2 days ago) and I have been searching the internet since. When I fill the mag, gas sprays out from the fill valve (EDIT: Only while I am filling). I added silicone oil [1 drop] to each valve. I also, of course, always have the tank of gas and the mag straight up and down when filling. I have 2 cans and tried both.

I found this thread: http://www.airsoftca...ead.php?t=23769  (scroll)

Is it anything similar? I can get a few shots off. I have not taken the mag apart yet, because I thought that might void warranty.

Please help, thanks!

You may be missing the fill valve o-ring. They are very cheap and should solve your issues.

So should I open up the mag and see if one is there? And thanks for the quick reply!

You don't have to disassemble anything. Just look down at the fill valve with a flash light and there should be a black o-ring around the fill valve at the base. This ring is what you need to keep the seal while filling.

Yes sir, thanks, that is what I am missing. I was not sure where you meant so I compared valves with my WE SCAR-L valve.

So where can I get one (an o-ring)? And will filling the mag hurt anything besides loosing gas?

Actually, in my scar mag there is one that covers the bottom of the valve, so it looks black down there, but now that I look at the Mk23 one again, I think there is one around the tube thing..

EDIT: Sorry for double post.

See if you can move it around with a very thin pick of some kind.  Just to make sure that it is the o-ring and not something else.

Well, I can't move it around, but finally found something small enough and poked it, and it's just like a thin black ring barely visible wrapped around the tube valve thing. I mean, it is tight and very small.

Maybe you need to replace or just stick on another one.  It might be damaged if it's not keeping a good seal during fill up.

Here.............

http://store.kwausa....-ring4pack.aspx

If you order $30 or more you can use coupon code FREESHIP for free shipping.

EDIT:  Sorry didn't realize they are out of stock.  An alternative would be MOONDOG o- Rings on Evike.com

So there probably won't be any at like a local hardware store?

EDIT: and if not, then in the mean time can I still partially fill the mag to shoot it?

Not that I am aware of and I doubt that a hardware store would carry O-rings that small.

Oh... well then will it hurt the mag if I try filling it in the mean time?

No, you just waste a bit of gas.  No harm though.

No it won't hurt the mag.  You will waste gas though...........................
Why don't you place a couple of more drops on the valve to see if that will do it?  It won't hurt anything.

Ok, thanks! And the oil didn't really do anything. But I think I'll buy some O-rings.
