SOunds like a cold mag then.  I wouldn't be worrying unless it happened at the end of the first mag at room temp.

Usually by the end of the second mag it is not unusal for the slide to not lock back because the gas pressure is so low that your gun does not fully cycle and rack the slide all the way back.

Mine is really hard to put the magazine in.  Any ideas? Also, the slide does not lock back by the end of the first mag.  I can keep the trigger down, let go, then pull the trigger again, and it still will not lock back.  Any ideas on that?  Thanks :blinded:

How cold is the mag when this happens?  Is it after a complete mag dump in cold weather?

What happens if you  leave that empty mag in and pull the slide back manually? Does it lock?

Don't store your gun with the slide locked in the rear position.  Not good for the recoil spring.
