I'm buying a 395mm inner barrel and barrel extension for my sr7 for when I play field, and was looking to buy a type .5 cylinder to match the longer barrel, but there don't appear to be any in the pro shop. Do you stock them, and if so what is the price? Also, will a type 1 cylinder increase performance at all out of a 395mm barrel vs a stock type 1, and will it decrease performance when I switch to my stock barrel for cqb?

Here ya go. http://store.kwausa....lock-1-5-4.aspx

Not sure about performance with a shorter barrel. I have heard that the type 1 will work ok for the 395mm length though.
The RIS that has a 395mm does come with the type .5

A type 0.5 becomes more critical with longer barrels like a 509mm.  You will be fine with the stock type 1 and a 395mm barrel.  If you do put in the 0.5 cylinder, the stock shorter barrel will loose FPS.  The reason is due to the piston pushing a volume of air that would allow the bb to exit before the end of the piston stroke.   When this happens, the piston has not accelerated to it's greatest point and lower FPS is attained.

Ok. Has there been any proof that a type 1 will not decrease performance at all? Just asking because the sr 10 and normal m4 ris come with a .5 cylinder stock and they have 395 barrels.

The M4A1 used to come with a Type 1.  You will be fine.

Ok, thank you.
I have an update for you.  I tested an SR7 today that I had recently put an EdGI 6.01 365mm TBB into.  Stock the gun was running around 350-355.  With the new barrel it now fires 380-385.

Hope this helps.

wow, lol thats great! EdGI still hasn't responded to my email, but as soon as they do I'll be buying either a 6.02 or 6.03 395mm barrel. I've just read so many articles of people arguing tight bore vs loose bore that I think I'm gonna go with something a little looser than a 6.01. Even with 6.03 it will be better than the stock barrel for field because of the length and fps increase, and if I ever get a 6.01 in the future I can compare them side by side, I've always wanted to see controlled test done between the 2.

If you are looking to go 6.02 KM Head from the KWA Pro-Shop.  I have one and I think it's better than the EdGi 6.01. http://store.kwausa....arrel395mm.aspx

Oh, you will get free shipping with the code "FREESHIP" if you decide to go that route.
