For you guys looking at battery options. I found that Precision Airsoft has this :

http://www.precision...ry-p/bat107.htm

  It says
"9.6V 2200mah Nunchuck Battery - Fits Classic Army, ICS, KWA, etc...M4 Front grip. Call us for fitment with other AEG's. Has Mini Tamiya connector"

Be clear in the fact that I cannot/have not confirmed that it will fit.   But if they are advertising that, I'm guessing they probably have tested it.    I dunno.

That very possibly could ft in the handguard of a standard M4 but I highly doubt that it will fit in the M4 tactical if the intellect 1600 mah did not.

Im going to have to agree with FunWithGunz on this one, the room in a M4A1 exceeds the room in the M4S, correct me if Im wrong. Batteries is the one thing I hate most in airsofting... peroid...

I havent heard much of theses before. 9.6 LiFePO4 Its a 3 cell aa sized 9.6v LiFePO4 (lithium phosephate, not "life" po) battery. The wikipedia page had some promising things to say about them and there smaller than the NiMH or LiPO cells. I hope its not to good to be true. If anybody knows anything more please post it cus this could be a real battery revolution.

The Intellect 9.6V 1600mah Nunchuck battery will fit the KM4S Tactical and the KM4A1.

http://www.airsoftgi...roducts_id=3372

The one that is in a shrink tubed together will not fit the KM4S Tactical.

I have both the M4 Tactical and M4A1 and have used this battery with both guns.

This is the battery sitting in the handguard of the KM4S Tactical.

As you can see in the picture, I re-routed the pair of wire from the gun to the top of the barrel to give more room to the battery and to prevent from pinching the wire between the barrel and the battery when you close the handguard.

This is the same battery sitting in the handguard of the M4A1.

If you use the same sized battery that is shrink tubed together, you will not be able to close the handguard on the KM4s Tactical because the battery is butting against the bottom portion of the barrel.

What I did with this nunchuck type battery is sit them on the handguard (the bottom portion) as far apart as they would go on both sides so that it leaves a small space between the two battery sticks. This space is all you need to make the barrel sit in between the two battery sticks when you close the handguard shut.

While sitting apart on the handguard, I used a glue gun to weld the two sticks together so that they sit in the same position everytime I have to put them back in. Glue it top and bottom. It will work even if you don't glue them together but I tell you, it's a lot easier if you do.

The same battery will go in the KM4A1.

Hope this helps.

good idea on using glue to space them. i use a small plastic wire tie to hold mine in place.
but i charge mine in the handguard. if i have to change out packs in the field i just cut the
wire tie. but i'm gonna try the clue trick. looks better than wire ties.
thanks.

I had the same question before and I emailed KWA directly for it. They did confirm the Sanyo 9.6 Volt 600mAH Split Nunchuck Battery. I've tried regular 9.6 Volt Minis but unless you rewire or carve out some part of the lower frontgrip of the tactical, it won't close.

Wow a 600 mAH battery. That's big stuff, man. That's not a pain, you won't have to replace that in wars every clip or so.  ;)

I vote crane stock.

Thanks for posting.  How did you re-route the wires underneath the barrel?  Did you take the wire connector off?

If you are referring to the same battery in the picture below, I have no luck fitting them in the KM4S Tactical. I use it for my KM4A1.

Yes. The terminals easily slips out of the connector housing. After re-routing the wire on top of the barrel, just slip them back in the connector housing again. Observe proper polarity.
