If this is in the wrong area, please let me know and i will fix it.

Anyway, i have a non-kwa aeg(Echo1 M4) that i would like to upgrade, and i was just wondering if the KWA gears are universal.
I heard they are self shimming, and basically the best gears on the market, which is making me want to purchase them.

any help at all is appreciated,

TheNab

Yes they will work and no they are not self shimming. They dont need shims on a KWA gearbox + KWA bearings case they are designed that way. If you install them on another gearbox you may need to shim them properly.

Really? the KWA gears dont need shims while their in a KWA box?

THATS why my gears had no shims. I was wondering about that.

I own a KWA and the parts are a total pain in the ... to fins and KWA could care less if you find them - I am now actually looking at Echo 1  for my next gun due to the ability to use aftermarket easy to find parts.
