My son's G36c broke a piston during a game this weekend.  He has only shot about 5k bb's through it, only use KWA .25 bb's and Golden ball proslick .25 bb's, never opened GB and using 9.6 Ni-Cd battery. Any suggestions as to what I should check for so this will not happen again?

Make sure you get a good piston to replace it with, make sure there is nothing jammed anywhere, and that the hop up is still fully functional.
Remember to clean your barrel regularly.

I am thinking that piston might have been a dud. Only way to find out is to replace the piston with another KWA one see if it happens again.  it's not usual for a KWA piston to break the back piece like that although I have read that it happens on rare occasions.
Just call me when you are ready to replace that piston. I have a new one in my spare parts box.
Aren't you so lucky you work so close to me? lol

And linky no worky.........
