I need a way to reduce it under 330 FPS- it runs JUST barely above with the low power bolt D:
Usually fields do 350, but mine is the only one in the area and they demand 330 FPS.

If I can find a verifiable way to do this, that'd be great- otherwise I can't really buy the gun :(

I haven't ever heard anything bad about KWA's products but unfortunately they all shoot waaaaay too high for my field.

You could try a larger diameter IB.

Here's a thread that might help: http://kwausa.com/fo...h=1

It is several reviews of the DangerWerx Flute valve.

I have recently been using the DangerWerx Flute valve in my MP9.  This was prior to the "Low Power" bolt being available.  I started with the cylinder that came with the gun which was 15mm in diameter.  This cylinder was an earlier design and is identifiable by looking at the main seal (#129) located within the cylinder, which is green.  The newer design is a 14mm cylinder and the main seal is orange.  I installed this (14mm cylinder) yesterday and averaged 335 FPS with the hop-up off.  Had I turned on the hop-up I very well may have dropped below 330fps.  I will be posting more and let you know if indeed I can average below 330fps.

I have the low power bolt too and when all is done will post results for that too.

Thanks so much- what would happen if I had both the low power bolt and the Danger Werx valve? My field won't even let it be 1 fps higher- and consistently it's just barely above- any way to knock it down around 5 FPS?

I really appreciate your help :)

Not sure but I'm not inclined to make that swap simply because I need to have the low power bolt as a backup in the event the DangerWerx fails in the cylinder as I have it set up now.

Would knocking down the hop-up reduce the FPS enough for it to be allowed on my field?

Thanks

Today I installed the "Low Power " bolt in my MP9 to see what affect it would have on the FPS.  5 shots averaged 317.32 with the first test and 309 with the second test.  Here are the readings.  Note: All readings with an Xcortech x3200 chrono and KSC .2's.

Test one = 305.8, 316.6, 332.4, 326.4, 305.4 - Ave 317.32 FPS
Test two = 316.1, 315.3, 310.6,292.2, 313 - Ave 309 FPS

I reinstalled the original bolt with the DangerWerx and averaged 329 again.

If you get similar results with the Low Power Bolt, you should be fine.

All readings at around room temp. about 5 seconds apart hop-up off.

Hope this helps.  :gun:

I'm a bit confused- are those with both the Werx valve and the Low Power Bolt?

Also, does the new bolt affect the noise/blowback action of the gun?

Thanks so much :)

With the DW valve in the original bolt I averaged 329 FPS.  With the Low Power bolt installed, as received from KWA, I averaged under between 309 and 317 FPS.  The blowback and sound was the same from what I could tell with both installations.

Rate of fire was between 21 and 22 RPS with both set-ups.

Hmm, in the video, it shows it shooting ~335. Is that accurate, or higher than what is really normal?

Have to assume it's accurate.  I tested mine at room temperature about 70 degrees F.  Their test may have been done in a warmer environment.

Thank you. I'm going to be buying this sometime in the next week and I really don't want to go to the field only to discover that it shoots hot...

More like your field is WAYYYYYY to low fps compared to national standard.  Maybe they should start looking at a better insurance company.  :blinded:

So... I'm asking quite a few obnoxious questions here, but what's the accuracy with .2s?

My field is not CQB... it's REALLY cqb. So like 40 feet is max distance... which might explain the 330 FPS limit. For clarification, that's 330 with .2s. They won't even let us use .25s, but that one I understand.

So yeah... only airsoft facility within 150 miles...

Waaaaaaiiiiiiiiittttttttt a minute, the above post is in Washington. Where do YOU airsoft that has a higher FPS limit? D:

While ALL KWA's are designed to perform best with .25's and above the MP9 will perform very well at short distances with .2's.  Besides, at that distance you won't even need hop-up so again, no worries.
