Hey guys, i recently picked up a used M17 from my local store, and was told it was HFC, I do not however, believe that. Firstoff, THE hop up. I understand that the HFC has a wheel hopup? My weapon has the hopup located around the barrel. Also, the lower serial number on the lower frame is CSK588US, ?I was wondering if this is KWA/KSC/HFC. Or what it is. Also, are basic KWA mags compatible if the gun turns out to be a KSC?

P.S. The gun DOES have a metal slide, but NO TRADES.
Thanks,
Brett.

IF they said it was HFC it was HFC...

KWA would have trades and so would the KSC counterpart

It seems like an aftermarket slide... But does anyone knowwhat brand CSK588US is? It seems as though the HFC doesn't have that serial number, BUT the stock slide on a KSC DOES have the CSK588. Ideas?

Also, apparently the HFC has a rubbery feeling to it, while my model has a very similair feel to my old M26C as far as the lower frame, also,  through some research, the HFC doesn't HAVE a serial number on the lower frame, In it's place, there is a safety. No such safety on my model.

It might be a Frankenstein, where it's a whole bunch of compatible parts from different companies to make one Glock? Maybe?

that would certainly be cool. however, the store had no verification that it's HFC, that's just what the consignment guy told them. If it is some super cool franken-gun, do you think it'll take KWA mags, based on the picture of the interior of the slide?

KSC had trades, but KWA did not. Could possibly be a KWA. Can't tell from my phone though, will need to log in on my computer later. I believe even the hfc had something on it.

THanks for the input guys. When I go to my field next time, I'll ask my buddy if i can try his KWA mag. SO, if the mag works, then i'll just assume that it is atleast some epic variant of the M17. As far as performance, It preforms on par with the other kwa M's at my field. I'm almost certain that it isn't an HFc, considering that the hopup is TOTALLY different.

I have an M Series 17 too.there is only the typical CSK588US serial number. I don't now how the hop up works
It's the barrel hop up again
My biggest problem is a piece in the upper part who moves. It makes a problem when I wanna load the gun. The bb stay in the mag and not in the barrel

Hi Nat - Welcome to the KWA Forums.  A couple of things, the threads you are posting to are long since necro.  In the future, if you have a question or comment, you should start a new thread.  It sounds like your loading nozzle is damaged and you need a new cylinder.  If you contact KWA there may be one in stock they can sell you. Hope this helps.
