I want to upgrade the 425mm barrel to a 509mm barrel.

I've checked the KWA pro shop but the EdGI 509mm 6.01 tbb is sold out, also its sold out everywhere else thats had a listing for them.

My question is what other manufacturers make brass barrels that would be suitable for a SR10 and is brass really that much better then a steel barrel.

Welcome to the forums.

I think you can custom order an EDGI barrel through http://www.edgicustom-usa.com/ if you can't find retailers that have them.  But I suggest you call them instead of emailing.
I think there have been some debate about brass vs. steel barrels and who really knows if one is better than the other.  I have read good reviews for both types as long as they are made by reputable companies like EDGI, PROMETHEUS, and etc.

I own multiple barrels from just about every manufacture.

From my experience, steel barrels seem to shoot very well from the start.
Prometheus and PDI are very good to excellent right away.

EDGI barrels, I've seen some shoot well right away & a couple not so great until a few thousand bb's go through it.  Still an outstanding barrel though.

My SYSTEMA brass barrel shoots nearly as nice as most the other brands from the start.  I spent $30 for it.

I have a few stock KWA barrels (300mm, 395mm, and two 425mm).   Those are pretty good right away, but my 425mm that's been in my SR10 since 2009
and has thousands of bb's through it seems to be one of the most accurate barrels I own.

Also you might want to consider a Precision Combat Technologies 6.01  509.
These are great barrels and only get better the more you shot them.
Also, THEY ARE IN STOCK........
Just as a point of reference.  I put a 430 601 tb in my sr7 and it increased the fps by 30.
Great barrels.
Just a few cents worth.
Good luck.

I have one.  They do work well, especially in a KWA.  Close to KWA's spec.  The next best thing to a KWA spec barrel.

specs are important for proper seal and barrel seating in the hop up chamber.

I installed a 363 KM HEAD barrel into my KM4 which previously had a 395mm EDGI (6.03mm) barrel installed.
Range, accuracy, consistency was nearly the same.   EDGI probably had slightly more range, but keep in mind,
EDGI barrel 395mm, 6.03mm & $80 +/-.   KM HEAD barrel 363mm, 6.04mm & $30 +/- a few bucks.
Unfortunately I had to give the EDGI barrel back to my buddy.   The KM HEAD barrel was a great alternative though.

KM barrel is light weight aluminum.  Slate gray color and teflon coated.   Very well made barrel.

*edit - I'm not very familiar with Trinity Airsoft.   They have some shorter KM Head barrels in stock.  The longer barrels say ON ORDER though.  No idea if they actually are.
