Help!  During reassembly I cant get the spring guide to seat through the metal bracket of the rear of the kmp9.  It won't go in past the first beveled ring/collar of the spring guide.  Without it seated properly the dust cover is not secured.  How do I get it to seat?  Does it snap in from above?

Typically there will be some deformation of the hole of the metal bracket due to, I think, recoil and the fact that the spring guide is a harder steel than the rear bracket. This usually causes a little bit of deformation on the bracket. I've repaired this problem by using a small file and taking off the little deformations on the bracket and sometimes even give the bracket a crowning so the spring guide goes back into place better. Just don't get too crazy with the file or it'll start to come out no matter what you do and then you're going to come back here and yell at me  :blinded:
