Star 140 round ones work well as do MAG 100-120 rounds ones (they just recently changed it to 100 from 120 :P )

King Arms fit but DO NOT lock into the magwell and the slightest jarring can make them fall out.

is the ares 140 or G&P 130 mid-caps any good?
do they feed well, are either good in quality?, do they fit inside the g36 perfectly?

Can anyone suggest the best magwell/magazine M4 conversion combination? Private parts, Socom Gear, etc..? Which works best on the KWA G36? Are people using KWA magazines with them?

Thanks.

Unless you are talking about a different type of mag, then the ARES mags are the same as the Star 140rnd G36 mags work in the KWA G36 and fit nice and snug. I have no experience with the G&P ones, sorry.

Ultimate/ASG tappetplate, perfect fit! (blackbox),
I have not tried any other thirdparty tappetplates, this one works perfectly however, no airseal issues between nozzle and hop-up chamber.

Tenergy 9.6v (sub C) 4800 mAh battery fits factory handguard (perfect match to the G36: can play all day without a recharge).  MX6 5watt LED/laser fits, but the factory rail needs to be filed to make it perfect (the factory rail is a bit to thick, and the light can be easily knocked off. Filing the rail makes the light very secure). Eotech 552 fits the upper rail perfectly without any modification.

Externals:   Classic Army scope top (from a CA8-2) works fine, very snug, but fine.

Internals:   Systema hop up bucking works.  SCS nub works.

Tokyo Marui standard power spring works (drops the power and raises the fire rate)

Just found out a JBU ver 3 cylinder head works fine.  Guarder stainless steel dual oring cylinder head fits but not as tight as the JBU.

Also, 6pk of Classic Army high cap mags appear to be working great.

This thread seems old. I want to know if there are any M4 magwell conversion kits that will fit the new KWA H&K Licensed G36C 2GX Version.  Not the old KG36, the new one that I specified.  I want to use M4 type mags on it but the techs from the store I buy my airsoft products from say that their M4 magwell conversion kit will not fit the new KWA H&K G36C.  I believe they use the SOCOM Gear X36 Magwell Conversion Kit.  I have found other kits such as the Private Parts Airsoft and BattleAxe but I have no proof that they will fit.  Does anyone know for sure of any M4 magwell conversion kits that will 100% fit the new G36C?  I am hell-bent on buying the new G36C with a mag adapter but I want to make sure I know which one fits before I randomly buy one just to try it out.

The fps went from 395 to 320 and the rof went from 16 to 19 on a 9.6v NiMH.

Bigger new question.  I have a broken hop up unit.  KWA shop shows being out.  Tried a JG in it (the lug to gearbox face length is wrong, it won't seat up to the gearbox properly, causing an air leak)  I know CA's won't work either (similar issue) so is there ANY other brand of hop up unit that will work? And if not, when will a new one be available?

I just went from being a huge fan boi to kind of perturbed by this turn of events... but at least I found where my power problem was on my G36 (switched it back to original spring, and power went down to less than 1j... ugh)

I love my KWA guns, but if you are going to make something that is different from "the standard" you should have the back stock of parts available to keep those "non-standard" guns working for a while...  Just a thought.

Paisley, give the Pro Shop a call, they can be slow with updating their in stock products.  And if they truly are out of stock, they'll be able to give you a estimate on when to expect the next shipment.
