When I fire my M18C, all it does is release all the gas out of the mag out the barrel. It doesn't cycle or anything. Is this a problem with the GBB unit? I am wondering if it is missing parts numbers 24 and 25. Could this be my problem?

Also, I am curious, when I try to take my slide off, I have to push the hammer down a bit manually to get my slide off. Is that normal for a M18C? If not, is it a problem and how do I fix it?

I bought this gun second hand and it came with all its problems. I don't know what normal is for this gun.

I could use any help I can get.

Thanks so much!!!

The hammer thing is normal, my M18 does the same.

Missing parts #24 & 25 could very well be your problem with the gun not cycling.

Ok. I guess I'm going to have to take it apart and see if they are there then...not too excited about that one lol.

Thanks.

Ok. Took it apart. (It was surprisingly easier than I thought). It is completely missing the rocket valve and the spring. So I hope that when I get them in there, the rest of the gun works correctly.

Thanks for the help.

Ok...I got the parts put in. Now there is another problem...

When I go to fire it, if it is on semi auto, I can get one shot off, then the slide locks back for some reason, I have to pull it a few times, then eventually it will go forward. When it does, it releases all the gas in the mag. If it is on full auto I get one shot and it releases all the gas then it gets stuck. (same problem just different order).

I'm at a loss to what the problem could be now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Maddog

Sounds like the springs aren't set correctly.  The hammer is not disconnecting

Figured it out I think... or hope... the hammer assembly housing is busted where the hammer spring rests on it. Have to see if there are any in stock or I will have to order an new replacement lower from an online retailer :(
