I own a KWA M4A1 and I was wondering just exactly how you rewire the gun to the back.  I am buying a stock that holds a battery and I need to figure out how to rewire it.  As of now I know that I will need to open the gearbox and get new wires or something.  I have performed upgrades on the gearbox before so that is not a huge problem for me.  Any guides or information will be helpful.  Thanks.

I rewired my KM-4 for a Crane Stock. I rewired a DBOY m4 once and it worked alright, but I was iffy on trying it on my $300 m4. So I wanted to find an official guide on how to rewire.

I went through around 10 pages on google and I couldn't find much in terms of help.

However, I attempted to rewire with the experience I had, and it worked.

Sort of.

For the first 1 game I had, it worked great. I rewired to use an Echo 1 Crane Stock, and it seemed alright. But then, during the break, I plugged my battery in, and it started smoking.

My $50 8.4 volt 4200 mah battery fried. I took off the stock tube and found out it was because of me pinching my wires right by the end of the metal body and the beginning of the stock tube. This burnt out my battery.

My major advice on rewiring is to WATCH YOUR WIRES!!! Make sure there is minimal pinching, and I found that putting some extra heat shrink on the key points gives it a little more cushion around tight bends.

Sorry to be off topic, but rewiring is not bad at all. You will find that it is really easy. All you have to do is take the gearbox apart and put the wires facing the back of the gearbox.

Good luck!  :)
