So I got an KMP9 yesterday and when I tore it down to clean it, part #72 seems to have escaped... I have the gun back together now and it seems to be fine.

Do I need that little spring? And if so, where should I be looking for one?

On a side note, while trying to round of the edges of the bolt catch with a file, the bolt catch seemed to be harder than the file and actually tore up the file (it was the file on a pair of nail clippers. Only file that seemed to be in my house). I'm guessing I just have to get an actual metal file from ACE, right?

^_^ Nail files are for finger nails.  I think the Mrs. may not be happy you just used her favorite emery board for gunwork  :P

That little spring keeps tension on the parts that hold the outer barrel in place.  It's kind of important

Eh it was at my dads house, he uses scissors instead

I guess I will be searching the floors for the little spring. If I can't find it though, where could I get one?

The only thing available for the KMP9s are the mags...

I also lost mine the first time I took my gun down... My gun's been running perfectly fine without it, but there is quite a difference with accuracy as the barrel is not being held down tight this way.

I also lost that spring day 1 :( Hopefully accuracy isn't too terrible without it.
