I can't give you an exact figure because there are a lot of factors.  (and I don't have one lol)

It will give you much better accuracy, which will increase your EFFECTIVE range.  (not range)  It will also slightly bump up your FPS.  I don't believe all KWAs have 6.05s.  I believe it varies 6.05+/-3

Barrel quality, smoothness, and materials used also make a huge difference.  (PDI 6.05s are more accurate than 6.03 Prometheus and DBC 6.01s)

I don't believe there is a break in period with Prometheus because they are steel. (I think)  Break in only occurs with BRASS barrels to my knowledge

My friend installed a KN 6.04 barrel and said he was getting people from around 200 feet.  (rough estimate, but still it's far)

Correct.  Well, according to this thread and the guy at DBC: http://www.airsoftre...52163#msg652163 (reply #42)

yeah I've read through that, good stuff.

I highly doubt that the DBC shot the same before and after break in.  Booligan said all of his DBC's shot like crap (even after he cleaned them) for a couple thousand rounds and then were lasers.

I'm still getting a promy anyway, it's easier to maintain, and is said to be a better performer.

Honestly everyone has there own barrel they like but it would be nice to see a bench mark test that shows the spread pattern between all the different TB versus the stock barrels in the same gun.....that would really show which barrel is the best

my 2cents - I went with the Promy because the DBC was always out of stock.  I went 407mm on my M4A1 and didn't need to mod anything.  It was a perfect fit using stock bucking and hop.  The only thing that wouldn't fit was the brass ring that keeps the hop in place.  I shot without it and everything was fine.   My experience on the field with the new TB was amazing.  I would say this is a must upgrade to have.

I heard you can go 420mm without needing an extension.  I believe this is true because my 407 is still below the muzzle.

Enjoy
