I just received a promy barrel for my M4A1. The collar that came off of the stock barrel does not fit the promy. Seems just a few tenths of a mm to small or the same ID to OD.

The collar that came with the Systema bucking does fit, but is 1.99mm thinner.

HELP!!!!!

Collar?  You mean the barrel clamp or the C-clip right?

If it's what I'm thinking then you can just sand down the ridge and it should fit.

Nope, not the C-clamp. This is the piece of 9.75 outside diameter brass tubing that is 4.25mm wide. It slides onto the barrel and is seated in front of the hop up chamber. It was on the stock barrel when I removed from gun.

Do not all KWA M4A1s have this collar? Looking at the parts diagram in the manual, I do not see it. However, if you look at a picture of a Systema hop up bucking, you'll see that it includes a brass collar that is 2mm more narrow.

Bless you for responding so quickly. I obviously have my gun apart....

I think the Systema collar should work. I am pretty sure it is just used to keep the bucking from going too far down the barrel.

Just my opinion. Anyone else think so?

All set. It was close enough that after light sanding with a a rolled up piece of 1500 paper and careful spot checks, slides on okay. This collar now sits at the edge of the chamber, flush with edge furthermost from the air nozzle; seems to act as a bushing so that the barrel is a perfect fit from front to back. The same diameter as the barrel and bucking combination . Makes good design sense.

I'd still be interested in whether other M4A1 owners found the same collar during a part upgrade or cleaning.

Got the H nub in place but duty now calls; rest will have to wait. Drats!

Thanks to those that posted.
