I have considered either buying a grenade launcher or a KWA m1911 PTP. I finally decided to go with the m203.

I do not want to spend too much on it, like below $200, prefered below $150. This including gas and a shell.

Now I know you are going to bombard me with words like "You can't for under $150" and stuff like that, but the only one I have really thought about is the ICS. The reasons are because it includes a shell and because it is not made entirely of plastic. :)

The link-
http://www.airsoftpo...oducts_id=27068

The problem is that it may be too long for an m4. And I was looking for it to "spread" the bbs, not accurately hit a target with this at 100 ft, so the long barrel may be a problem. Can anyone tell me if a long barrel effects the spray of bbs?

Another problem is mounting the beast.
I wanted to get an RIS, but with only one place the 203 is connecting to the RIS, it looked a little flimsy. Is it actually flimsy, or will it hold during a battle?

Is there any way I could mount it inside my handguard (like this model - http://www.airsoftpo...ducts_id=24885) and then get a 2-piece RIS that mounts on top of it, while still having rails on the sides to mount other stuff??

Another way to explain this is SOPMOD. By no means do I want another SOPMOD m4, I just want the ability to mount other stuff on my m4.

I wish I could explain this better...

Like see how there is an RIS on top of the m203, so he could still put stuff on his m4, besides the grenade launcher? Sorry this doesn't make much sence.

Thanks for your help!  :)

Look on ASGI, heres some links.
http://www.airsoftgi...roducts_id=1860

And as for you RIS, look at any site, GI has some also, but I would suggest going with a one peice instead of a two peices. One peice is sturdier. Your the one with the crane stock right? if so then you really have no need for a two peice cause you dont need to put a battery in it.

Yeah that's me :)

Forgot to say, I have a crane stock and a KM-4a1.

I just wanted to know if it could hold, or if there is any wobbling with a m203 attached to the railing. Or if I could use half of an RIS system, holding a stable grenade launcher on the bottom, and using the top of the ris to hold other stuff.

Go with the one peice RIS, and a RIS attached ICS M203. Then you should have 3 rails free to add accessories and one rail for your M203 on the bottom. One piece RIS will give you less woble!

I don't think I clarified this ehough-

Judging the RIS is PERFECTLY STILL, will the m203 wobble if I put it on the railing?

Nope, shouldnt woble if done right and the correct RIS rails are chosen.

Good!

Can anyone else verafy this? Not that I don't trust you, Vic Man, I just want someone else's input. :)

So far, we are the only ones to post on this topic

I have been reconsidering, and because no one ever talks on the pistol forums, should I get the KWA PTP or the ICS m203 grenade launcher, and possibly an RIS system?

Before you just blurt out "Grenade launcher," I want to mention that, in our games at my field, if your rifle gets shot, you can't use it for the rest of the round, and our rounds are usually 30- 45 min long. My gun got shot once, I had to borrow my buddies spring pistol. It was fun

I dont know about that one :/

I want the new KWA M1911DS PTP ;_; it looks sooooooooooo good. But it comes down to personal preference. If you want to tube people and look intimidating on the feild, go M203. but if you want a back up, go pistol. Its up to you to make that decision. Me personally, I would want the pistol, but thats because I play the DMR roll.

That's true. I would probably do the same, but I need it before the last sunday of the month, so I can't wait for it to come out. Do you know if it is actually out on evike? Because it is the 17th and it said it would come out on the 15th.

I don't know, I'm iffy about the whole thing. The pros of a grenade launcher are the intimidation factor, the ability to kill multiple people with 1 shot. The cons are that it is a pain to lug arround or 45 min wars (about), I could only shoot 1 shot before I have to reload, and if I miss, I would just be carrying around a 2lb piece of metal.

Anyone else have imput on the PTPs?

I'm sorry, I should be posting on the PTP forum, but nobody ever goes there.

I think I may go with the m9 PTP if the m1911 isn't out by tomorrow. Any word on evike's shipping speed?

I use a E1 203 (barrel mounted) The echo 1's are good to go, I used to carry a CA RIS mounted 203 I used it in one game the weight was to much, the E1's are light as hell I have so many people pick up my M4 and can't believe how light it is (M68 aimpoint, BUIS, PEQ2, RIS, 203, 9.61400mah) it looks real heavy but it's nothing compared to my old setup (CA m15 w/CA RIS 203). Not only is it cheaper it's lighter - It fits great on the KM4 aswell.

You have the EXACT picture I want!!! That Echo 1 is barrel mounted, and you have an RIS. What RIS is that? Is it able to remove one of the rails, revealing the inner barrel to attach that beast on?

Everyone, THAT is the RIS I want!

I wanted to know, because I want the setup you have.

Thanks a TON!

As for the goggles, I would LOVE to be able to wear goggles at my field. It would make things SO much easier! I have to wear a paintball mask. It really sucks, because I can't aim down my sights, even with my carrying handle ironsights.

But if I mount a red dot sight above my carrying handle, I could aim. But it looks REALLY ugly!

Sorry for possibly being a little too excited  :)

Sure, It's the Echo 1 RIS - RIS unit's take down like regular m4 handguards. The E1 203 and E1 RIS fit snuggly on the KM4 - you'll have to maintain the outter barrel and tighten it every so often (two hex screws, at the base of barrel near the D-ring) but the rig is not as heavy as some may think (203 body is plastic & barrel is lightweight metal) the setup all together is good to go.

I may need someone to clarify this, but I heard up to 120 ft.

I really don't need it to shoot far, I'm in it for more of a spread effect.

And I heard the nerf rockets shoot up to 400 feet (it could be 400 yards, not sure).

400 yards is 1200 feet........doubt that..........

120 feet for a grenade launcher?  I wouldn't think it would be that much, more like 100 and below.  I'm not saying you are wrong, but that is pretty far...

It mostly depends on the shell, and how much you load in it.

I heard the King Grenade, when launched, doesn't go to far.

I can get some beasty range with my Aqulia/Ego 63rnd'ers I'm horrible with judging distance but adding arch about 150-180feet (maybe 200). Understanding distances with your particular 40mm's you use will take some practice understanding when/and how much arch to put in to the m203 otherwise you'll overshoot or undershoot your target or just be skeptical about firing. I plan on getting Madbull 120rnd HEDP's aswell..Madbull's expensive but are the best bet in reliability and replacement parts.I was looking at KA's but theres to much sh*t on how bad they are.

Can't blame you there. Any word on the King Grenade? I hear its range is bad, but I want a large spray effect.

Do you know if long or short barrels on m203s effect the spray?
