Both my KWA MP7 short mags have developed a rattling sound inside in relatively short time since it was purchased.  It still holds gas and shoots ok, but is it something I should be worried about?

No. There is a brass tubing inside that is connected to the fill valve. They probably got loose.

sounds like the expansion tube.  You can bang it back into place or just remove it all together.  It keeps liquefied gas from siphoning out of your mag when it's warm.
