Will the rear site drift adjust (with proper tools) or is it set to one position only?

I don't think the rear sight can be drifted now, it may be machined into the slide now.

Kind of what I thought, but the schematic that came with the gun showed it as being separate pieces, so I didn't know if it was coated after the site was installed.

I hear ya man.  If it weren't for the fact the new slide is machined differently from the original, I would try to adapt an older model slide.  The old-skool chippy finish is very close to the first SP01's chippy finish.
