I am wondering about getting a reflex sight for my mp7a1. Anyone have sugestions on what works well I don't want it to look large on my gun, but would like to get one cause iron sights don't work good in the dark.

So what sight would be recommended?

The Aimpoint T1 is very sweet on an MP7.  On the larue QD mount it co-witnesses perfectly with the irons.

I have used tons of scopes and sights. The MP7 looks best with a Real Steal TruGlo Reflex Sight 4 reticules Red and Green. It is small profile and is VERY nice. 50-70 bucks

do you want a sight to see better or look better?

$60, there's a million usable optics, but they're not going to be abuse ready.

i was talking about the clone Aimpoint T1.  The one I have is remarkably good - holds zero, good dot, nothing visible from the front.  I also have a RS eotech and this one gets as much use.  Just be careful to keep the switch from knocking on in your bag and draining the batt.  I have a piece of polycarb mounted inside it to stop BBs from breaking the front.   The above open reflex sight is great, but will get shot out in CQB pretty quick!

You are looking at my only airsoft gun now. The KWA MP7 is my longest kept gun. I dont play CQB so I wont have to worry about it. Would like to but no field to do so. Plus everyone I live around doesnt really play airsoft so I dont get to play airsoft much... :(

The reason I didnt get a Star S-Point is because I was talking to a guy in Europe regarding its functionality that has one because I couldnt find any reviews on it. He told me the red dot is not that bright and there is no way to adjust brightness on it. Also its replica made so in my opinion its always better to go with a cheap sight that is made for a real steal gun yet obviously isnt is good as like a Bushnell or some high quality brand like that. Also in personal pref I wasnt to fond of the big S didnt mesh as well as the real Z-Point which looks really nice. The real one costs like...600 dollars though..lol

Humm...  I got one on my MP7.  Mesh quite well with it.  And the brightness is auto-adjust.  That's why you don't see a dial for it.

I should get around to doing a picture of my MP7 with my RS EoTech 512 on it.  It's a shade top-heavy, but still cool!

He needs some sunlight. Or worse, a soldering iron. You can disable the sensor on them

The one thing I like about the Truglo open dot sight I have on it now is I have 4 different reticle options which I change fro the setting. Dot for long distance and accuracy and circle for CQBish like 30-50 feet and green and red. but the Z point would look better beause it is what the real steal uses and u can use the iron sights in CQB or rifle mode...didnt know the replica had the sensor on it

as much as I like open reflex sight, the chance of a BB hitting the lens in a CQB scenario is rather high.  And I've seen lens cracked by bbs from 60 feet.  I got one on my desk to prove it.

That is true. You could put a screen protection in front of it though? It can happen with any sight but open is prob higher. I have had a BB hit my Guarder ACOG and STS EO TECH and it didnt break them so guess I got lucky idk

I like that star scope. What happens if a bb hits that lense, or is it just a lot less likely because of its close proximity to the gun?

No. I tried it once it was just so ugly. It is a sight for G36.
