Now,Mods can delete this if they like.I dont any other place to ask so...Yeah...

Whats the difference between TRU-SPEC 50/50 BDU Uniform...And TRU-SPEC 50/50 TRU Uniform?(Both genuine multicam)

They both look the same,TRU ones has velcro on arms...But is that it?Am i missing something?

http://www.desertdeu...-Uniform/Detail

http://www.desertdeu...-50-NYCO/Detail

And 1 more question please...there is a size chart on ebay page of that multicam and it asks for;
1.chest size=mine is Large(if i got it right)
2.Height....now whats height is that?My height?Because its on coat's page why would it need my height?
160-170(short)   170-180(regular)   180-191(long) if those are my full body height than i am 1.83-84...than i am long?(Doesnt makes sence that it asks for full body height on only COAT's page.

Hey turk I have the one with velcro on the pouch with the IR i like it alot there is no difference but this:

Made to US Military Specification MIL-C-44048G

the one without velcro is US standard the other is not. One is more expensive than the other I have had both and I would go with the velcro one

umm

u confused me on the last part...tell me your weight and your height in feet' and inches''

thanks

I notice some more chest-pockets on the BDU, also that it is slightly darker.
And the...uhm.. neck thing.. collar! - seems more comfortable.

The height would be your height. The length of the coat (short/regular/tall) is based on your actual height and they assume a "normal" proportioned person. So the length of the coat/jacket will vary from the top button neckline to the bottom hem... no good putting on a jacket that fits if you have a long torso and it only comes down to your belly button.
Hope that clears things up for that question; can't really speak to the other questions.

One is the traditional BDU cut while the other is a later design with Mandarin Collar shoulder pockets/velcro and slanted pockets... different manufacturers have their own design..."Crye cut"..."raid cut".... :icecream:

If youre getting the multicam pattern it would be best that you get the new cut.

Note that you can specify your jacket and trousers size, choose something that fits you well... not tight...not baggy.

Hey Turk

Let me see if I can help you on this subject

The 2 link you provided, one is TRU (Tactical Response Uniform) and the other is BDU (Battle Dress Uniform), BDU is an US Army/ Air Force term when they referred to the utility uniform, its a older style of uniform, dated back from Vietnam War. up to late 2001/ 2002 depending on the needs of the service branches the current Combat/utility uniform has different colors. Such as MARPAT, DIGITAL ACU, NAVY DIGITAL, and AIR FORCE DIGITAL TIGERS phasing out the 4 pocket front BDU's

The TRU however is the "next generation" style of combat/ utility uniform, slant pockets, zippers, tons of hook and loop. due to contrary belief is actually ACU (Army Combat Uniform) style cut. with this style users can TUCK IN the uniform to the pants to make it lower profile, just so if you are wearing a MOLLE belt, or a Body armor type rig, it won't have extra uniform material to make it more bulky. The TRU also take foam padding for your arms and knees.  Depending on the different company that makes uniforms they can call it different things. and just so happens Tru-Spec calls it TRU "Tactical Response Uniform"

The current slant pocket, hook and look, high speed awesome tactical mandarin collar uniform was a influence by the "RAID" style uniforms. SF operators would customize their own uniforms, alteration such as removing the bottom large pockets to use as additional padding for the elbow, or put the bottom pockets up to the chest and move the smaller pockets to the sleeves. The design was so popular, when the bid for new uniforms were submitted to the DOD a lot of these "USER FRIENDLY" designs was incorporated as well.

A lot of service members wear Medium Regular in the military, for me i am 201 at 5'11 i use medium long top and large regular pants. there are fastener straps or ties built in to the uniform so you can cinch it down to your size.
