The spring that keeps the trigger forward snapped. I've found a few websites that sell the springs but I cannot figure out how to access the that part of it.

My warranty from the seller has passed and I figure I can do this myself.

How would I go about opening the gun and replacing this spring?

Its a M9 PTP (Tactical), and I know how to get the slide off and on, but can't see an obvious way to open the metal lower half of the gun.

my english is not so good, so maybe I ask moderator to help

First! need removal of magazine and slide assembly!

taking off the sride catch, careful for small spring under

this release pin hold trigger in place.

next remove right cover for grip

inside you see small > spring do not lose it very important and small!

removal of the trigger bar next will releasing trigger ready for new part

Ah hah. Sneaky ones then, just having you pull the slide release off. Thanks for the information.
