Well, since my gun shoots way too hot for Night Scorpion's standards, I'm wondering what I need to do to get my fps <360 at sea level. Currently I'm shooting about that hot at 6200 feet. Basically, I'm looking for a drop in ~30fps. Should I go ahead and drop in an M110, or can I just compress my stock KWA spring over a period of time?

I'm a little lost in what you are talking about :P
You are talking about uhm 360 fps at sea level ( 0 meter over the ocean(?)) and that you are shotting 'that' hot at an altitude of 6200 feet above the sea) ? :P
And you want to shoot 30 fps less at that altitu...erhm, I'm lost ;)

Lol. You're right, it doesn't make sense, I apologize. I just need to drop my gun's velocity by about 30fps. Should I go ahead and drop in an M110, or can I achieve a 30fps difference by leaving the spring compressed?

Oh- and to explain the "sea level" thing- guys on my local forum did an experiment, which showed an average increase of 30fps when going from 6200' to near sea level. So since I'm shooting the limit at 6200', I need to drop 30fps (at 6200') to be shooting the limit at near sea level.

Velocity reducers are banned at many places.
Just pop a m100 in there and call it a day.

Just half pull the trigger and leave the spring compressed for a while. Do like 10 or 20 minutes at a time and chrono it inbetween so you don't over wear the spring.

Which model do you own? A M110 may drop it to 360FPS. Isn't Night Scorpion's standard @ 380FPS with .20? See you @ Ft. Wolters in March

Thanks for the input, everyone.

Model of gun? G36 V2009, and I haven't tweaked any internals.

I did, however, compress my spring for a few hours- now it has a huge variation in fps, and I think I may have ruined the spring. I'm between 340 and 400 with .25 excels. I will also switch to AE bbs, because they're much more consistent than the Excels.

I'm thinking of buying a Guarder SP110 and SP100, hoping my fps evens out soon, chronoing it at NS when I show up, then change out to whichever spring I need while I'm there. Does that sound like an OK plan?

Night Scorpion's OK range is ~355 with .25s. Their absolute limit is 376 with .25 Non-bio excel bbs (or at least, that's the bb they had listed).

I'll try and ask around for you- hope to see you there, it'll be a blast :)

I think you will be fine, sounds like your springs haven't settle yet. Compression will weaken the springs but you'll need to fire around 2,000+ rounds to settle the springs. Make sure you come by the KWA booth. :)
