Hey all, I lent my KP8 (USP .45, old ver.) to a friend for a skirmish, and he called me afterward and told me it had the following problems:

(In 68 degree weather):

gun worked without ammo (I don't know why he did this)
when bb's were loaded (AE .2g's) the action would cycle backwards but wouldn't go all the way forward and stopped in the same place every time.

After getting the gun back from him, I field stripped it, and didn't find anything that looked obviously out of place. I reassembled it, loaded with (lubricated) propane, loaded bb's, cocked the gun and pulled the trigger. On the first magazine, I heard a slight 'put' sound. The action didn't cycle and a bb didn't come out. Subsequent trigger pulls yielded no results (only the trigger clicking). On the second magazine, a bb flew out at low velocity, but subsequent trigger pulls yielded no results. This was in about 50 degree weather.

Any help would be much appreciated,

sounds like either your piston seal is out, or the inner piston seal is no longer functional
